WILD HORSE KARAOKE & DISCO

Wild Horse Karaoke & Disco was started by Frans & Cathy Maritz in 2004. With the exception of a 12 month holiday in the USA, we have worked a minimum of three nights a week, since we did our first karaoke. We do all our shows ourselves and never send replacements to do the job we were booked for. I have been involved with music all my life. I played in a professional dance group called “Kings Country Band” with a Top 20 single called “Sunrise”. During my years with the group I learned to read and understand what the crowd wanted to hear.

Equipment

We use what I believe is still the best sound system available namely “DYNACORD” The psx 1603 16 Channel powered mixer with digital echo and reverb. When you sing on our system (Shure cordless microphones) you will never be happy with another Karaoke again. We have also done the sound for artists like Bill Flynn, Riaan from Idols, Buddy Vaughn, Herman Holtzhausen and Nadine to mention a few. There is enough quality sound to do live shows in any large hall or small outdoor event.

Karaoke Music

We specialize in Karaoke with more than 14000 professionally recorded tracks. No midi tracks are used. Most of our karaoke tracks have been purchased from American and European sources. It is also to be noted that mostly all the tracks have been professionally recorded by studio musicians and are not computer generated. We are completely up to date with the very latest tracks available. The best thing about Wild Horse karaoke is, all our songs are loaded into a HP zd8125 Laptop Pentium 4 computer and at our functions, nobody needs to wait for their song to be loaded, it is called up instantly.

Music

We have almost any song, spanning all genres and decades, that you have ever requested or heard of loaded into our data base. From our own cd collection, which at my last count was round the 11000 mark, we have over the years become fanatical about buying and collecting cd’s. I cannot even remember when last someone asked us for a song that we did not have. It sounds impossible but true. We have over 400 Gigs of music available at a click of a mouse.
